Morning Note with Shanté
Artist, Storyteller, & Actor, CA
“I have lately been focused on identifying and walking in my purpose. I have less fear around choosing the ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ thing, but flowing with what is aligned.”
Hi, I'm Shanté. I am an artist, a storyteller, and my voice is my strength. I am a trained actor in stage, film and television, and I have recently started working in the grief and end of life space.
I'd always look at the morning notes.
In terms of my own spiritual practice and the things that I seek out, they're very aligned with the work that Diamond does in the morning notes. It is something that I look forward to reading when I come upon it, because it always feels like a breath of fresh air to read, and a reminder to take a minute, take a breath. And so, I gain a lot. The way that I live my life is aligned with what is in the morning notes. It's really a nice treat for the day when they come through.
[Since morning notes,] I have lately been focused on identifying and walking in my purpose.
I have less fear around choosing the "right" or "wrong" thing, but flowing with what is aligned.
The group sessions that we've done have been really nice also. And a lot of what we've done in those, like candle ceremonies—really taking the time to sit and making the time to do something like that, and really connect with not only myself but other people who are also maybe questioning and want to sit in a practice or in ceremony with other people—has been nice. I think it's been a while since I've been able to join one, but I really enjoy the group aspect of it and how that can be a network of support, among other things, for people.
The notes that come on Saturdays, I really like those ones. It's just so in depth, and again feels like fresh air. It's always a nice way to start the weekend for me. I enjoy the writing style, and the calming effect it has.
I think it's a delightful way to wake up. I love it!
